glowplug
You are doing nothing wrong. There are 2 reasons they look darker in game. 1. Material:Ambient - influences affect of Weather, Cell and Object Light on the object - darkening can be observed in NifSkope.Diffuse - masked over the Nifs Diffuse Map (texture.dds) - darkening can be observed in NifSkope.Specular - surface reflection influenced by Glossiness and Normal Map (texture_n.dds) opacity - not observed using NifSkope.Emissive - the object's light emission based on darker/lighter areas of the Glow Map (texture_g.dds) - not observed using NifSkope. 2. Vertex Color: This is where the actual Vertices of the mesh have color values that affect their adjacent Normals. A number of the Oblivion tapestries have both Ambient and Vertex coloring that make the textures darker. You could adjust your textures in Photoshop, change Ambient using NifSkope or us a 3D modelling tool to work on both Material and Vertex coloring.
