[Need Ideas] New World Space via GTS

Hey everyone, I plan on creating a new worldspace compatible via the global travel system. So where would you like it to be located? I'm thinking of some kind of military base or something, whats you opinion? Any ideas? Could you maybe draw up a simple floorplan/basic design for it? Thanks for suggestions!

these are some excerpts from some things i was reading about, that you might be able to run with..

 

for some reason i keep coming back to vaults that would be full of pre war goodies.

 

 

Scientology Bunker

 

In order to better guarantee the preservation of the scientology

scriptures against large scale disasters, a variety of vault sites

have to be established. Therefore, in northern California a

horizontal underground vault has been constructed in addition to the

Mile High and the New Mexico facilities. This additional vault consists

of two levels, each 372 feet long, which are covered up with 30 feet

of earth. This facility, too, is designed to remain safe and accessible

for 1,000 years without maintenance. The uniquely segmented structure

can withstand earthquakes of up to 8.5 Richeter magnitude without

rupture. Each of the 542 segments was individually constructed of 8

inch thick high-strength concrete completely encased with a 1/4 inch

thick, continuously welded steel plate. When assembled, the vault

segments formed over 55.8 linear miles of joints which were bolted

together and sealed with material allowing for utmost flexibility.

IGSS Inc.

* The Westlin Corporation operates a 40,000 square foot data center near Houston that was built in the 1980s by a Chinese oilman fearful of a nuclear war. Tenants include Continental Airlines.

 

* Titan One, an ultra-secure data center in Moses Lake, Washington that was originally a NORAD Command and Control facility built by the Department of Defense.

 

so there you go. with a little searching you can find most of them in pictures and google maps and whatnot. lots of conspiracies

I'm glad to see someone using the GTS!

 

Make a Waterworld mod. Think of the makeshift island atoll from the beginning of the game.

 

How about a Road Warrior inspired setting? Miles of desert, sand, and rock... Bands of punk raiders wearing assless chaps too!

Because the outback is so sparse, you wouldn't really need to put much into it to get the desired atmosphere. Just some rocky outcroppings here and there. Oh, and there would be plenty of wrecked vehicles along the sides of the dirt roads. There could be two main towns: The oil refinery from Road Warrior has the same feel as many of the cobbled junk settlements in Fallout 3, and Bartertown from Thunderdome could have... well.. the THUNDERDOME!
