Compatibility, Development, and Anchorage

In regards to a new mod that does not intend to have any dependencies on the Anchorage DLC, what are your opinions on developing with the DLC installed versus not? Has anyone run into compatibility issues or other problems going in either direction -- either with non-DLC users when you have developed with Anchorage installed, or with Anchorage users when you developed without it installed?

And in a similar vein... is there an easy way to uninstall the Anchorage DLC short of re-installing Fallout 3?

I don't actually think the DLC technically installs anything at all - the "intallation" simply figures out where your Fallout 3 is installed and links/installs the necessary files through windows Live, such that it can be used in-game. It's pretty evident by the Live workaround (ie. making OA work without logging into Live ingame) that there are no changes made to Fallout 3 itself by the OA installer, as OA works fine after moving it from the default installation folder (the pesky hidden Live folders in the User files folder).

As for mod compatibility, as far as I know the reason some mods were broken after OA was launched was because they used the script and codebase of the previous version of Fallout 3 rather than it actually being OA that was responsible for the incompatibility (due to the reasons above). Of course if the mod uses resources that were shipped in the OA .bsa archive, it'll need OA to run as with all interdependent mods.
