erikolaix
Hello, I'm preparing to play Skyrim for the first time, and am currently researching tweak guides. I've found a few interesting ones, and would appreciate your feedback on them. This is my plan so far: 1) Go through the steps of the STEP Guide2) Go through the steps of the Skyrim Revisited Tweak Guide3) Go through the steps of the GeForce Skyrim Tweak Guide4) Go through the steps of the Skyrim Tweak Guide 2.3 (applying common sense along the way, of course) Does this seem sensible to you, or are there perhaps so many overlaps, or so much conflicting information, that I should focus on only one or two of them? Which of those guides do you think has the most credibility in the Skyrim community, and are there perhaps any better ones that I've missed? Thanks for your time. 6TemplaR9
I personally, would recommend just one thing.Don't use the papyrus related .ini tweaks provided by either of these guide.(These are the tweaks you make under the [Papyrus] category of the .ini)Oh, and don't overload your game with graphics mods, for example I only use Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM. prod80
STEP and ITC guide are good (for ICT, dont follow directions in texture/save game optimalization, especially the latter). Stay away from the GeForce guide because 1) it's very dated and hasnt been updated 2) is not balanced against a game that runs mods and has some tweaks in there to de-stabilize your game which you dont need when using mods.
