For the love of god, HELP

Recommended Posts

I can not stress how long I have had this issue. I decided one day to download and use the Readius PDA mod. Since then I have not been able to get it working properly, yes I know I need FOSE, and yes I have it installed as well. I decided to uninstall it because it caused too much of a headache to fix. Now all of my character saves have seemingly developed a fascination with their left hands. I can no longer use my pip boy. If I turn off archive invalidation I can use my pipboy again. Problem solved right? WRONG! Yes I can use my pipboy but then all of my other mods no longer work. For what seems to be a useful or cool asthetic changing mod, it causes a veritable TON of problems. I've scoured both the forums and the web for a fix. The best things i've found were to delete the Fallout3.ini and let the game write a new one. Tried it...no success. The other option was to uninstall the game and then reinstall after deleting ALL (saves, mods, anything fallout 3) and then reinstalling. Again...NO SUCCESS! I'm beginning to get extremely frustrated. It just seems to me that this particular mod has screwed more people over then not. All I ask you Nexus Forums is that you please, for the love of god, help me!

  • G:\JBethsoftsystem1\Data\Meshes\pipboy3000

with the following files only should be there.

  • pipboyarm
  • pipboyarmfemale
  • pipboyarmfemalenpc
  • pipboyarmnpc

any thing else, delete them. these are extracted from the bsa archive and used to Identify your bug. Other wise, there is no listing for pipboy3000 add on files.

Based in the bsa only. delete all references outside of the bsa and your pipboy will work correctly.

I don't run hud mods due to the very reasons you have listed here.

The only things in that folder for me are pipboyarm and pipboyarmfemale. Both are .nif files. Though I'm on a PC so my directory might be different. My directory line was

C:\Program Files(x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\meshes\scorptech\PDA

Something tells me that there shouldn't be a scorptech folder or if it should be there then the PDA folder shouldn't exist

ok, I'l look up the code to re-enable the default unit, I have ten games and I can't remember all the commands but there is a coc console command to put it back in place, and a hard save to keep it that way. OR you can load a saved game from exit of the vault? if you have a clean save before the PDA add on mod

whoops I suppose I was a bit late, nut's, oh we at least you know NOT to use radius type of mods, anything left lose in the data folder will be picked u and used by the games engine, with, or with out scripted references or e[ esm assignments... the bad ones are "xml" files, you find those listed in the menu folders. I have a very large collection of xml files scooped out to see what do what.

your welcome.
