A Few Problems

Hey, everyone.

I'm fairly new to PC Gaming, as I've only ever played simple games such as Solitaire on them, but after having seen some of what can be done in Skyrim on the PC, I decided that it was time to make the jump into it. However, I've run into some problems, and that's where I'm hoping you guys can be of assistance.

Depending on which mods I have installed and activated, I get a couple of different problems, ranging from endless loading screens to crashes when trying to open the pause men, and I can't figure out what the cause is. After making any changes to what mods are installed or activated, I always run BOSS to make sure that there aren't any fatal errors, so I don't think it has to do with something that needs to be active not being so (for example, if I disable a mod that another active mod requires). I'm at a loss, and I really don't want to have to remove everything and start over, because I spent an entire day installing them.

Here's a bit more information on what's been happening.

1A) With ALL mods active, as soon as I confirm my choice to start a new game, the menu music restarts, and I get stuck at an endless loading screen, WITH the music playing on a loop.

1B) If I use the "Alternate Start" mod, I can create a character, use the MCM to play around with my mod settings, save my game, etc. but as soon as I lie down in the bed to "Start my new life," I get stuck at an endless loading screen.

2A) With SOME mods active, when I start a new game, shortly into the opening scene (before the word "SKYRIM" appears on-screen), the game will freeze, and I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the task manager and log off of my account to regain control of my machine. Using ALT+TAB doesn't work, nor does trying to close Skyrim through the task manager.

2B) With SOME mods active, when I start a new game, the game will sometimes crash when I open the pause menu (shortly after the word "SKYRIM" appears on-screen), and sometimes it won't crash.

The specs of my PC are as follows:

- MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard

- Intel Core i5-4670K Quad-Core Processor

- 8GB DDR3 RAM

- Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition Graphics Card

- Samsung 840-Series 250GB SSD

- Seagate 2TB HDD (7200 RPM)

- Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit) Operating System

Here are some logs and files that you'll likely be looking for.

1) Compiled Screenshot of all the mods I have downloaded in the Mod Manager.

2) BOSS Log with ALL of the mods activated.

3) Skyrim.ini

4) SkyrimPrefs.ini

*I haven't tried running the game with a clean set of INI files.*

**The game runs perfectly with all plug-ins disabled (other files still active, such as textures, meshes, etc).**

Thanks in advance, everyone. Here's to hoping that I don't have to start from scratch again!
