hello. soo the problem is that i tried to install the Eprodox mods adding a mosin nagant rifle and k98 rifles http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/49740//? and http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/50705/? and none of them worked.. like.. at all on my laptop (i7 quad core, nvidia 650m SLI, 8Gb ram) with windows 8 pro. its just like the mods are not installed. they show up in the data files menu. i also checked and all of the mod files are in the data folder (or meshes and textures) i tried to install them with NMM but again nothing happens. i have them installed on my old windows 7 laptop and they work perfectly. i have also tried to export a save with the mosin nagant equiped from my old laptop to the new one and then load it just to check if the model exists in the game. it informed me that some items are missing and loaded my character with empty hands (literally :D). is there something special about windows 8 new vegas modding that im doing wrong? i have heard of some new vegas problems with quad core processors and also it runs awfully with the SLI enabled so i disable it when playing. may it be because of that?

There is absolutely zero difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8 (or Vista, or even XP) as far as these games are concerned. New Vegas does not have problems with quad-core processors--that was Fallout 3. You should disable SLI for performance reasons, but it has no other effect on the game.

There's a difference somewhere between what you did on your old laptop and what you've done on the new one.
