Dawnguard vampirism turns my character into a Nord-Orc hybrid

So I decided to finally give Dawnguard a try, went through the opening missions, till I had the option to become a vampire. I accepted, and noticed a significant change in appearance. Now, I figured that the face would be more gaunt and that the eyes would change, and apparently there's a texture change as well. With all those changes, I decided the face just didn't do anything for me, so I set out for a mod to fix it. Well, I got the texture changed fine, and I was OK with the eyes, so no big deal. However, the face shape was still the same, but it was different than the other vampires, and after a bit of googling, I saw that it was different than other Dawnguard vampire player characters as well.

 

Then it hit me, that it looked like an Orc, even though my character was a Nord. I pulled up showracemenu to be sure, and while the race wasn't Orc, it was "PlayerRace" instead of Nord. Also, as showracemenu was loading, the body flashed green momentarily, as if it started loading an Orc, and then changed its mind and went with my original Nord's coloring. I went back to an older save and tried again, this time with before and after screencaps, hoping it was just some weird glitch, but no such luck.

 

Basically, I assume this isn't normal, but correct me if I'm wrong. Has anybody seen/heard of this happening before, or have any idea why it is and what I can do about it? Worst case scenario I suppose I could try manually resetting everything in showracemenu, but I don't know how well that would work, or if it would effect my character's vampirism.

Update: I'm a full on Orc. I lose my Nord racial power Battle Cry, and instead have the Orc's Berserker Rage, and the female animations look like a roided up body builder. It looks like all that's left is my Nord's coloring, as far as I can tell. I tried changing my race to Nord again in showracemenu, and that seemed to work for the moment, but as soon as I activated my Vampire Lord ability and then reverted back, I was an Orc again.

 

I did a little more digging online, and while it wasn't really the same problem, a fix for something else suggested I check to see if Dawnguard.bsa was listed under Archive in Skyrim.ini. It wasn't, so I put it in there, and tried again, but it didn't change anything. That said, I don't know how far back I'd have to go for that to have an effect, if it's even at all related. I went back to just before waking Serana, and then straight to her castle, became a vampire, but still turned into an Orc.
