im in house redoran and i was given the quest to stop ondres nerano from slandering us, but i killed him earlier in the game so i could use his house. i figured id just go do quests for other people since normally you can skip a couple quests and still reach the highest rank in the house. i went and did all the quests for the guy in ald velothi and i went back to sarethi for advancement and he told me i needed the support of other councillors. i went to all of the other councillors and there are only three topics i can select, "redoran councillors", "rules", and "solstheim" my question is, do i need to do more of his quests before i can advance, if so, am i screwed since i killed nerano? (im on xbox, so no console cheats)

Whether you can get the other quests depends upon your rank rather than number of quests. You won't get more quests from Sarethi but there are two for the Redoran smith in the council chamber and several for Faral Retheran (?spelling) in the Redoran canton at Vivec.

Also the last Ald Velothi quest is dependent on level. Did you visit Ashalmawia?

If you have done all these I can't see a way out!

i have done every single quest i can for them, except the one where i have to stop nerano from slandering us. when i ask sarethi for advancement, he says i need to get support from the other councillors, but i only have 3 dialogue options with each of them, the ones i named before. so is there no way for me to advance farther in the house?

Not being an xbox player I don't know what you can do. You might try forcing the dialogue by clearing out Morvayn Manor. Sometimes there are bugs that jump dialogue. But I don't think so.

Only Mistress Morvayn and Ramoran will give you quests initially so it isn't worth worrying about Llethri and Arobar.
