Rockatanskiy
I'm having a bit of trouble updating to v1.1 in Fallout 3. I click the installation program, and it gives me a pop-up window which states: "Fallout3 is about to be updated to version1.1. Setup will now install the Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace application.Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace is a required component to access our premium downloadable content and is part of the Games for Windows - LIVE installation" Of course, I click OK, and it gives me an installation bar which seems to finish normally in a few seconds, and that's that. No further info. However, nothing seems to have changed, and FOSE (fallout script extender) says that I still do not have fallout3 v1.1. I'm thinking that the quick install was actually only this GFWL bullshit, and the patch never actually installed. According to what I've heard, the patch install takes a few minutes... I tried downloaded the patch again from a different source, but when I execute that one it always crashes after 2-3 seconds. So, has anyone had any similar difficulties? Is there some type of notification ingame that the patch installed? Maybe it's just FOSE, but hell, that's the only reason I'm downloading this damn patch.
