Getting these pesky errors every few minutes in game...its making oblivion unplayable =(

PC Specs

Windows XP Service pack 2

Nvidia 8600GT (a laptop card, 512mb)

Intel®Core2 Duo CU

T7700 @ 240 GHz

2.39GHz, 1.98 GB of RAM

It occurs just about anytime. In dungeons, during combat, outside. Usually between 3 and 10 minutes after starting oblivion up.

I cant currently grab my load order, because i run my game off a portable hard drive through USB ports, and the hard drive is not with me. (This has not caused issues for me ever before) I dont suspect the load order is causing Memory read/write issues anyways.

Looking around my memory options, I found that curiously my virtual RAM was disabled. so i decided to turn that on and put its usage to 3045MB on drive C. I cannot test if that works yet, because the hard drive is not with me.

If a problem like this can be caused by load order, please tell me and Ill get back with the load order by tonight.

Otherwise if you suspect something else. PLEASE let me know.

Thank you.

Kinda sad that I got no help. There is good news however.

enabling 3045 mb of virtual memory really helped, i havnt gotten a single read/write error since, however my oblivion is still really stuttery. Im gonna have to performance tune it i guess.
