Rennn
I've worked out a conversation for an NPC only using vanilla dialogue from the same voice actor, rearranged in different ways. However, when I go to type the dialogue in the CK, there doesn't seem to be an option in the CK to use an existing .fuz or .wav. It forces me to record new audio, which I don't want. I'm trying to use the vanilla dialogue lines that I've extracted. Is there any way to get this to work?Would I have to record a new voice, and then replace it in the folder structure with the voice I actually want the NPC to use?Would I need to do something else? DreamKingMods
You can't use existing dialogue files in more than one spot unless the existing dialogue is in the special "Shared" topic area of the "Misc" section. Instead, you'll need to make copies of the existing files and rename them to what the CK specifies for your new topics/infos.
Rennn
I have made copies of them. :smile:So it's as simple as recording blank dialogue, and then replacing it with renamed copies of the voice files I want it to use? DreamKingMods
You don't even need to record blank dialogue--the Topic Info pop-up window will tell you what the file should be named and where it should be placed, and once you put a fuz file with that name in that place, it'll just work. Okay, that's the best possible option. Thanks. :)I didn't think it would be so straightforward.
