Club7Racing
I just loaded and ran the SKSE installer. That's as far as I've got. I read maybe of a download manager that would make things easier, or maybe I was mistaken. I have a Steam account, but have no clue of how to subscribe to a mod through them. Is there a place on this site that has the basics of downloading and installing mods? Thanks for all your help.
Leafynn
Right here. It is not as hard as it seems for most mods. If you want to manually install them they are mostly drag 'n drop. It's the more complicated ones you need to do other things for. You can also use the mod manager which basically takes care of the process. ripple
I advise not using the Steam Workshop to manage your mods. The SW will automatically update and delete mods from your game if those mods are removed from the SW for whatever reason. This may cause permanent damage to your save games (depending on the mod that is removed). Instead, use a real mod manager like NMM, the Mod Organizer, or Wrye Bash/BAINS to exclusively manage your mod un/installations--none of them will automatically delete mods from your game without your consent, and all will request confirmation when installing a mod. When you find a mod you like on the Workshop, download the counterpart from the Nexus instead. Edited July 10, 2013 by ripple
