ADD1CTEDGAM3R
Yup, textures are the last thing you should add... About SMIM... you posted this install log, I assumed this is also install order? Complete Mod Installation Log Ruins Clutter Improved Better Dynamic Snow <-- Overwrote one Ruins Clutter Improved file Ultimate HD Fire Effects Ultimate HD Torch Static Mesh Improvement Mod <-- Overwrote all Better Dynamic Snow, Ruins Clutter Improved and Ultimate HD Fire Effects Skyrim HD 2K Landscape Skyrim HD 2K Dungeons Skyrim HD 2K Towns <-- Overwrote numerous Static Mesh Improvement Mod files Skyrim HD 2K Riften Skyrim HD 2K Miscellaneous <-- Overwrote numerous Static Mesh Improvement Mod files Detailed Rugs <-- Overwrote numerous Skyrim HD 2K Towns files Skyrim Flora Overhaul <-- Overwrote numerous Skyrim HD 2K Landscape files If this is order, then SMIM will overwrite things it shouldn't. It should only overwrite Ruins Clutter Improved and nothing else... all the rest should overwrite SMIM (those are mainly texture overwrites, not meshes, so you still have SMIM's improved meshes). However FireHD has meshes, so you'll lose those meshes.... and FireHD looks awesome, so I'd suggest not to do that. Yes, that's the order that I installed them in. I wrote it all down as I went along. If you look at the installation instructions in the description of the Static Mesh Improvement Mod, it specifically says to install Better Dynamic Snow, Ruins Clutter Improved, and Ultimate HD Fire Effects first, and then allow it to overwrite all of them. That's why I did it that way. Are you saying that it should be done differently? If so, then in what order should it be done? What files should and shouldn't be overwritten? I'm new to all of this, so I sure as hell don't know.
prod80
That's weird :\ lemme look into that... damn youre right  lol... I guess it has to do with the Ember textures/meshes of firehd, but I manually replaced those with ones of another mod ... and I didn't overwrite the farmhouses that SMIM has because I like them... oups. Ok then, please follow SMIM's recommendations
ADD1CTEDGAM3R
Wow. I'm in so far over my head with all of this. Apparently I didn't even have the Real Vision ENB installed properly, so when I was playing the game beforehand (amidst all of the crashes), and I was getting around 50 - 60 FPS with all of those textures installed, I wasn't actually even seeing the effect of the ENB, as it wasn't even being applied. I've tested the game with Sharpshooter's Original ENB, the Project ENB Realistic version, Opethfeldt's ENB, and with the Full and Lite versions of Real Vision ENB, and I get between the high 30's to the low 50's. That's WITHOUT textures. Seriously? I thought this system that I built was GOOD. I spent $1,500 on it, and it obviously isn't what I thought it was going to be. I've heard a lot people say that it can help to overclock your GPU, but I have no idea how to do that, as from what little I've read on it, it's very involved, and can destroy your card if you're not careful. This sucks. I want the game to look realistic; dark nights and dungeons, lighting and shadows that actually look like they would and should in real life, and textures that don't look like a blurry, smeared mess. It doesn't seem like my system will be able to handle that though. Or at least, not while having a high FPS, which is important to me, as I loathe lag, stuttering, etc. EDIT: I made a few changes within Sharpshooter's INI file, and got the FPS to increase significantly, and it just might work. Here's what I changed: 1) Set "EnableFPSLimit" from true to false 2) Set "ForceAnisotropicFiltering" from true to false 3) Set "UseOriginalPostProcessing" from true to false 4) Set "EnableDepthOfField" from true to false (mostly because it made me nauseous) The result is a stable, high FPS (usually mid 50's to high 60's), and the picture still looks great. The best part in my opinion is the Ambient Occlusion. Without it, everything looks so fake. I first noticed this in Gopher's ENB series videos, where he shows a wood pile with and without the effect, and with looks SO much better. EDIT 2: Well, that didn't really work either. I chose Sharpshooter's ENB, downgraded a lot of textures to lower resolution versions, dropped some unneeded textures completely, and even dropped a few other mods that I don't really need, and I still have problems. I didn't do any extensive testing; just for FPS. It's stuttering and spreads from the high 20's to the low 50's. This is really getting on my nerves. How do people combine ENB with textures and be able to play the game? EDIT 3: Might have found a workaround. There's a a mod called "Total Enhancement ENB - SSAO" that focuses primarily on adding SSAO, which is what I really want because it adds a lot of realism. I combined that with Imaginator, and I can get a decent looking quality. It isn't as good as an actual ENB such as Sharpshooter's, but I can run a fair amount of textures and still stay close to 60 FPS.
