monolith1985
hi, a few months back i tried to play fallout 3 on the pc for the first time, and with mods, as i already played vanilla on console.I installed a bunch of mods and started my game, things were going well at first, but around 5-10 hours in it started crashing all the time, to the point where i couldnt continue I'm looking to try again, but this time i thought i would seek out advice as I want to at least avoid the game breaking crashes.I was wondering what would be a good collection of mods that would run together smoothly, while providing me with a fresh take on fallout 3.Some mods i would be interested in would be new quests/areas, new companions, and some new weapons, apparel and random items, as well as anything else that someone might suggest. But most of all i want these mods to play nice with each otheron my previous attempt, i had installed fose, fellout, FWE, MMM, rts settlers, re-animated, the 2 teen companions, amy wong companion, EVE, archive invalidated, g4wl disabler, named wasteland, wandering npc's (forgot the name), weather effects, project beauty and a few more i cant remember.my current system is a single core cpu at 2.60 ghz, 2gb ram (hopefully upgrading to at least 4 soon, and an ati gpu of 512vram, on windows xp. the last computer was much better but was on vistaso im not expecting miracles in the graphics department, but Im more focused on good/new gameplay, though anything to make the fallout world and its people prettier without hitting the graphics too hard is also welcomefirst time posting on the nexus forums so hope this is in the right place, and i look forward to getting some good suggestions :)
pkleiss
If you haven't, try using BOSS. It's a load order sorter. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10193/?
AKcelsior
Well you could go watch some of these videos. It will really help you get started. In the first few videos he has you install some pretty big overhauls that are pretty much essential to this game. He has some common fixes for crashes too. Try going to tweakguides.com and reading the fallout section. For good mods, literally this game has been out so long that quantum mechanics says that the probability of finding the truly best mods in the "Top Files" section of the site is quite great. Make sure you view "top endorsed files of all time". Edited July 17, 2013 by akkalat85
