looking for someone to implement a model

Hi guys, I'm looking for someone willing to make a weapon mod if I make the model. The idea is to replace the custom .44 you get from the violin lady with vash the stampede's revolver. Obviously, it doesnt have a scope so that could be fixed, so i was thinking if it was made 100% accurate in non-vats that would balance out the lack of zooming. Otherwise, I think other stats (such as damage, VATS accuracy, etc.) could remain exactly the same.

Just got the idea last night and threw together a quick model. Here's a WIP; geometry is not cleaned up or optimized, since I dont know what polycount the FO3 engine likes.

Anyways, I'm asking since I'm not really familiar with the GECK, and since I hadnt planned to get into modding Fallout 3 in a huge way. I can texture and animate the gun too, provided someone throws me some info on formats that the GECK likes.

Is that blender? I was going to say I've written a guide to get your model from a 3d modeling program into GECK, but that's for Max, and I suspect that Blender is very different from all the other programs. From what I gather, it even creates different Nif record than Max.

Anyways, you'll need to find a tutorial that deals with blender (a couple out there) and getting it in-game. I don't think the game have a poly count limit, though I suspect you want to keep it around 4 to 6k for the masses' sake.

No, it's Maya, but I can import it into max fairly easily though. I think I'm gonna withdraw my request anyways, since I saw vash the stampede's got his own model which he's having problems implementing due to the GECK not liking custom animations or something. If he can't do it, it must be pretty tough.

No clue how to do it i am not a texture or 3d Model type person, I am stopping by to tell you not to get discouraged hehe you might be able to figure out the problem that he cant. Reason i say this is because i helped someone that is IMO 10X better then me at Modding and all i did was ask him a question that he didn't know the answer to and made a "well what if" statement and he was like OMFG why didn't i think of that. So don't sell yourself short just because one person cant do no matter the experience it is all about the way you look at it. Great Model i want to get the final product so don't give up
