Ghidoran Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 So, I'm trying to make a mod that improves poisons in the game. I plan to add new poisons but that's an issue for another time. Right now I'm just trying to improve the alchemy perk tree, and have a few questions. First, I want to make all poisons in the game non-stackable i.e. if I apply the same poison to the same enemy twice in a row, I don't want another instance of the poison being applied, I just want the previous instance refreshed. This way, if I continuously apply a certain poison to the same enemy over and over, I won't be dealing absurd amounts of damage to them, just poison them for a really long time with the base damage of the poison. I realize that I'd have to edit the effects of all the poisons in the game, and I'm prepared to do that, but my question is HOW I would go about editing them to make them non-stackable. Second, I want to add a perk to the Alchemy tree that would increase the duration of all poisons. So, let's say I have a poison that does 5 points of damage every second for 5 seconds. With the perk the same poison would instead do 5 points of damage every second for 10 seconds. (I'm not sure if this is actually possible). Essentially I want to make it so you can apply a poison to your weapon and have it last for a long time, so you don't have to keep reapplying a poison (I've already figured this out). However, to make this less OP I also want to make poisons non-stackable. I also want to make them viable, so increasing the duration would be a nice touch. Any help is greatly appreciated.
