Quick and easy (i hope) question about world Spaces (exteriors). Can you make and interior...exterior like? Let me rephrase it a different way as well. I want to make a forest inside, i have already placed miniature versions of trees around, my main concern is soil... I NEED DIRT for a tree to grow but try as i might i cannot figure out how to get dirt or grass in my level it just shows up as a box or rectangle in the GECK and in game.......nothing :( getting pretty discouraged about my little greenhouse any Ideas?

There are a few things you can do:

Use the Static Objects, Rock Canyon Rock and Rubble Piles to make dirt piles. The Cliff Barren Waste and Cliff Canyon objects (there are several of all of these objects) can also be used but they are REALLY BIG.

There is no way to apply a Land Texture to an interior cell unless you want to retexture a floor tile nif with one of the Terrain types. That will work but you'll also have to reassign the material type and sound FX in nifskope so your nice new 'ground' doesn't thump like a wooden floor when you walk on it.

Something extra you might try is to make your interior cell act like an exterior one if you haven't already done it.

Go to the GECK toolbar and the dropdown 'World' and then 'Cells'. Find your interior cell and go to the lighting tab. In the lower right hand corner is a box titled 'Behave Like Exterior'. Check the box and then select what Climate you would like. I always use the WastelandClimate but the TranquilityClimate has a clear blue sky and fluffy clouds.

One Question, why you not just use a new Worldspace for this? I mean, you can place Interior-Statics in a Worldspace too, so there is actually no difference, but Exteriors have a lot of more Functions to do. You could just place a Shack-Interior into a Worldspace, make a Door inside and ingame you dont recognize any difference. Only you have to create a Climate, that behave like a Interior, or you get dusk and dawn.

Well It is part of an much larger interior cell and i don't want it reachable from the regular world space i thought of making a door to link it to an exterior but would have to surround the place with impassable mountains just so players cant get to it from the outside

Well, just click on create new Worldspace and you get a empty exterior cell, where you could do whatever you like... but with the difference, that you have a Landscape. And If you just use Interior-Statics nobody ever know he is in a exterior cell and nobody can reach it untill you add a Doorlink.... got it?

Ok i got what your saying and doing pretty well on the build up hehe but now question on climate, I made a new one i turned all the sun settings to off or whatever but cant seem to get it dark enough I want it to basically be Night time with no Moon (simulating a deep in the Wilderness of Canada Feel)

Edit: I also want it dark

Well, this is a little bit tricky, but not impossible. Go inside your Climate-Setting. There you find a lot of things to change, like sun/dawn/dusk/starglare etc.

Turn mostly ALL settings to 0, that means totally black. Now go and raise the setting "ambiance" to around 10-30. Means 10/10/10 for grey/black or you get colored light.

You also need 1 Weather, that dont have cloud textures etc.

If you can't do it, I could sent you a esp with a good Dark Interior Climate, that I use myself. But it's not so difficult actually...

Well i am sure once i figure it out i will be saying its not so difficult too  , But for now i am racking my brain... I had all the sun settings already all off and chose first overcast went in it was Grey, and clear was just that clear I am not finding the Ambient settings your talking about. I know where htey are on th interiors but not sure in a world space
