Minutemen2
Hey Community, I reinstalled my Skyrim completely because I started using DDSopt.I DDSopted my Skyrim and HDDLC textures and my game run just fine with continuous 60+ FPS.Afterwards I installed the HDDLC Optimized Mod and changed my Game-Settings to: no AA, no AF, high shadows, rest ultra But then I installed an ENB (RealVision Performance, no DOF, no SSAO) and my FPS dropped down to 48 FPS outdoors without any INI-tweaks (except those necessary for ENB) or Texture-Mods. Is this normal? My VRASM-usage was at 1.25 GB; my RAM-usage at 1.05 GB. What can reduce the ingame FPS generally? Are there other factors that affect FPS except VRAM/RAM-usage? prod80
ENB is software renderingYes it's normal. ENB may use up to 60% of your performance. Some performance ENB "only" use like 15% performance but don't look half as good. I run a heavy modded game on an overclocked GTX680/4GB and hardly keep 45 FPS outside. Minutemen2
But my game runs at 90 FPS (tested with disabled VSync) without an ENB and with the performance ENB I hardly get 50 FPS outdoors. And I don't have any mod installed except HDDLC Optimized which increases performance.
prod80
HDDLC, optimized or not, does not increase performance from the vanilla. And yes, it's normal. I used to have a GTX560Ti and I got ~25FPS outside with ENB, now 45FPS with a GTX680. ENB costs a lot of performance... If it's too much to your liking you can try something like this instead: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37846/
