shushiboi
Basically I'm asking as the question reads :P I really like Project Reality because it calls out more to my style of playing and experiencing the game as a whole, but I feel like Nevada Sky is more compatible with more mods than Project Reality and I don't understand the whole idea of using the "Archive Invalidation Invalidated" thingy when installing (I honestly don't know what Archive Invalidation Invalidated really is or the whole concept of it and how it allows mods to work) Well enough of that, my main focus is that I heard that Project Reality hits any system a lot more harder than Nevada Skies and my fear is that it will cause it to conflict with other mods and not support all of the DLCs, and that Nevada Skies might complement better with the majority of the mods in Nexus as opposed to Project Reality. Any help clarifying this ? A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS I like to use the Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit armor, especially this one, http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37040//? But I don't know if I can play this with Project Reality or if it's even compatible as Project Nevada had created a compatible patch for it here already, http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47219/? If all this compatibility mod does is just visually make the stealth field and other aspects and patches of the RCSS look better, then I don't care. What worries me the most is if that isn't the case, like does the ability to actually use the RCSS armor depend on that compatibility mod and could I still play with the RCSS in the game, or does the ability to use it with Project Nevada or Project Reality depend on a compatibility patch ? If in the case that http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47219/? only visually makes the RCSS armor look better and it doesn't effect the ability to play the armor in the game at all, then in that case, I don't care. I want to use Mods like this one in Project Reality and I could care less if the armor has that vanilla patches that make it look poor, as long as I could still play with armors such as these, I'm alright, my question in this case is if I could still play with this armor in Project Reality, or is there a patch that's required ? And with the absence of the patch, could I still play with the RCSS armor with PR or PN ? (Sorry if I confused you while I was trying to explain my dilemma, it's a lot of confusing information, considering that I'm still a noob to this) :P Last thing: are both of these (Nevada Skies and Project Reality) both compatible with EVE ? Just curious Edited July 16, 2013 by shushiboi
luthienanarion
But I don't know if I can play this with Project Reality or if it's even compatible as Project Nevada had created a compatible patch for it here already,http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47219/? You're a bit confused here. The two mods you are comparing are Nevada Skies and Project Reality, but that's a patch for Project Nevada--a mod completely unrelated to either of the two mods you are comparing. Nevada Skies and Project Reality are both weather mods and thus incompatible with other weather mods such as Fellout, Western Skies, or each other.Everything else is fine, as far as compatibility goes. shushiboi
Thanks, and I guess Project Reality is compatible with Project Nevada as well. Thank you for helping me clear out all of the confusion, I didn't want to miss up anything in my game, and again, thanks for your time :)
