Yossarian22
In the first release was a readme that explains pretty well what you have to do to add new lands to the mod. You should try this. I think he mean a tutorial about general wordspace creation. I guess somebody who got a working worldspace will find adding it to GTS as a easy task. Yes I think I have some handy tipps about worldspaces that I could take in a Guide. It would not be a Guide how to create a worldspace, there are already a Guide for it, but for speed up process, prevent bugs and things you have to watch out. Why there are Watersurfaceholes without LOD?2. I follow Step one, but why there are still Holes WITH LOD?3. Why are Trees in the Sky after creating LOD?4. Why there is Gras in the Sky?5. Why object generation is failed while creating LOD Objects?6. Why isn't it a good Idea to use or even open the Heightmap-Editor?7. Why my LOD-Objects have black textures, even I copy all the right way?8. Where are my LOD-Textures?9. Why none of my Objects shown in LOD even I created it sucessful?10. Why nobody kill bethesda for their "awesome" after LOD creation? These are questions, that are surely in no oblivion Guide. Ok, maybe should call it LOD-GUIDE instead of Worldspace... SpeedyB64
I am curious as to what areas you have actual land for? Do you have the Las Vegas area by any chance ;) ? That is currently what is slowing me down with the Sin City project.

That is currently what is slowing me down with the Sin City project. Well, GTS has the entire Earth included, so all U.S.A and Nevada also of course. I hope you will add your Sin City Project to GTS. This will save you the work thinking about a way how people will reach Las Vegas, GTS does it for you and your Mod will show up right in the Place where Las Vegas is located. SpeedyB64
Thats good. :) Would it possible to only be able to get there by air (Silos Vertabird) The area around the city was nuked heavily (lots of military bases around there) The outer edges of the city will be horribly damaged by the shock waves. There is a large radiation belt around the area making land travel nearly impossible (until the player discovers the power and water tunnels that lead away from the city to the dam)
Yossarian22
Normaly Air Travel isn't included and I am still thinking if I should or not, coz it's kinda lore breaking, that every player has a vertibird and also the travel distance for vertibirds are short. But how about this Idea: The Player has to travel to the Outer Zone of your Area, this means just before the radiation and bomb area starts and from there he can either go inside some tunnels to enter your City or is picked up by some people with a Vertibird or something. The Outer Zone could be a small quarantine area or something like that. I could help you with this zone a bit. Or how about make it a viewpoint, where the Player could get a LOD Distance View of your City and the bombed area, before he actually enter it? SpeedyB64
I wasn't suggesting that you add air travel. I just don't want any ground travel to that area (at first, once you discover the tunnel you can set up a supply line). Air travel to the place will be part of the Sin city project and separate from GTS.I could also make two ways to get there, one being hiring the silos vertabird to get you there, or going to the area with GTS and finding the tunnel under the Radbelt. MrLexx2k
Yesterday I finally got the Australia LOD done, witch was before a nearly impossible task coz of some sort of Bugs in LOD-Generation. What kind of bugs? I am trying to get the LOD done for my little world since three days now, but I can't get it to work as I want. Last stand is this: http://bildupload.sro.at/p/298436.html...and this is not right.
Yossarian22
Yesterday I finally got the Australia LOD done, witch was before a nearly impossible task coz of some sort of Bugs in LOD-Generation. What kind of bugs? I am trying to get the LOD done for my little world since three days now, but I can't get it to work as I want. Last stand is this: http://bildupload.sro.at/p/298436.html...and this is not right. Ok, what I've seen there is not a Bug, so it's much more easy to fix than the problems I had... First: There is a very important file in data/lodsettings that is created, when you create LOD-Elements. This means Objects or Meshes etc. This file can be corrupted, when LOD is created but not linked in this file. This File actually tells the game, witch LOD is to load, so if there are wrong paths, no LOD show up. Why this happend? Sometimes, the meshes, textures or objects are generated with somehow different lod-chuck names or count, so for example, you create Objects, go out of GECK and someday later create Meshes. Now only objects or meshes are shown in game, coz only one of them is linked right in this LOD-Settings. How to fix this? 1. Delete all your LOD Files first. This means, landscape/lod/wordspacename (textures and meshes) and VERY IMPORTANT delete your LOD-Settings File for your Worldspace too! 2. When you want create a LOD, start GECK new, load your Mod and go to LOD-Generation WITHOUT (and this is important!) opening your Worldspace in the Render-Window. Only on this way you get the true count of chucks, that are needed to be created. 3. Try to do all LOD-Files (Meshes/Textures/Objects) in one time! If you follow the 2 rules above, this is not so important, but better. If you change the Landscape and create new meshes but not create new objects, your LOD-Settings File will be corrupted. So, in general, if you create LOD, create all needed LOD-Files at once before you start changing anything at your Worldspace again. -- Follow this 3 Rules you should get a working LOD now.
