Installing Mods with Steam version

Recommended Posts

ok, for some reason NMM has been able to successfully install all those mods....Not sure why now but not before, but I am happy.

Now, I have a new issue, a mod I am trying to get to work, says I have to get like 6 other mods to make it work, and then I have to get another mod instead, and I just don't understand.

the mod I am trying to use is:

Morphs and More by Entopie-X

I didn't really understand which download to use, so I figured I would be safe with the All in One

I looked through the readme file and the images section to find a specific look I wanted. And decided I wanted to just change a preexisting character to that look.

the mod author doesn't exactly give instructions for installing the mod, but instead directs me to using:

DragonAge Face Replacer by NewByPower

So I downloaded that via the NMM it activated just fine, but I don't see any difference in game, So I figured I would have to do some stuff manually, So Re downloaded it to my downloads section, and tried opening it, only to be told by windows, that it has no idea what kind of file this is, or how to open it.

Besides that as well, It seems Face Replacer is a replacer for NPC's, so I don't understand how I am supposed to use it, to replace my character's face, with one from an entirely different mod.

I did, as a last resort, attempt to just use Morphs and More's All in One, just to set new presets in character creation, Being that in the worst case, I could just make a new character, but all the hairs are missing in the presets, and the vast majority of the faces look zombie ish or blurred. (I even disabled all my other mods and tried it again, and same thing happened).

I read the recommended readme from Morphs and More's original author for installing chargens too, but I don't understand. I have a file in the override called NMM_Chargenmorph_cfg, and that readme says not to ever have more than one chargen file in there, but this file is completely empty...So I don't understand, Do I need to somehow get a new one and delete that one? Why do I have a chargen file from NMM, if it doesn't seem to handle chargens in the first place? etc

I am very sorry. I am sure there are reasonable answers to these questions somewhere....I'm just at a point where I am pulling my hair out in frustration.

I welcome any and all replies to this. Thank you.

sorry for bumping something old but i'm sick and tired of my overrides not showing up in the game even though the DAmodmanager was suppose to have installed them and even after moving them into the correct area being documents bioware/dragon age ultimate edition packages / core override and such but noooooo no matter what i did the override mods still failed or refused to show up in the game and i bought got this from the steam winter sale and i don't even need to do the key s#*! for main game and dlc cause its all installed in

@spellwis; Being vulgar gets you nowhere. Failing to identify the mods involved means no help, regardless. And the fact that all Dragon Age mods work fine with a Steam install means you're doing something wrong.
