LE butter up merchants by giving them a discount

I noticed that every time I sell stuff, when the merchant ends up near the end of their gold, I'll find something cheap (like a weak potion) to sell them, and if my item is a little more than they have gold for, I'll just go ahead and do it anyway. I was thinking that a good idea for a mod might be one that gives you "brownie points" for voluntarily giving other merchants a discount- perhaps a very small +barter check could be applied each time, cumulatively, with that individual merchant only (on top of all skill, apparel, and potion bonuses, of course--and the amount you discount them would matter, so giving them an enchanted ebony sword for only 300 gold would get you way more of those brownie points). Maybe after a certain number of times, that merchant could throw in a quick dialogue line like "you've helped me out, so I'm going to give you a special discount."
