boohoomoo
Hardware Accelerated audio (and video also) uses the card to process some/alot of stuff, so that the CPU doesn't have to. If both sound the same use Hardware Accelerated for a little performance boost. Performance enhancements depend a lot on each person's system. Ones with lower end graphics but plenty RAM and CPU speed will find lower resolutions and view distances (along with no shadows or pixel shading) the most helpful. Those with good/great graphics but low on CPU or RAM will find lowering AI distances, turning off music, and possibly lowering view distances (not sure about shadows) the most helpful. And if you're still having performance issues, turn off Anti-Aliasing (usually found somewhere in the Display Properties Control Panel Plugin)(for ATI Radeon, right-click an empty spot on desktop, click Properties, click Settings tab, click Advanced button, click Direct3d, and disable/lower the Smoothvision setting). Only do this as a last resort as everything will now have jagged edges (more noticeable at lower resolutions).
DreamOfTheRood
One of the Worst Things Ever: When companions or enemies close a door to a room you're in, block by continually walking in to it, and that's the only way out. You don't have any teleports or recalls. Your only option is to go to your last saved game. One of the Worst Things Ever: Lillix

Shakkara
I know this makes me even more a n00b, but what is morrowind.ini I got to program files/bethesda/morrowind, but it's not there. What/where is it? Ctrl-F works wonders for things like this hmm? It IS supposed to be in your main morrowind directory though. Maybe your file extensions are hidden? wesaynothin
When I search for it using ctrl-f it brings up a text document. That can't be it, can it?
Shakkara
When I search for it using ctrl-f it brings up a text document. That can't be it, can it? It is. And you should enable to see all your file extensions. It depends on your windows version but goto explorer (not internet explorer, just the normal explorer), and somewhere in menu bar is folder options (either view or extra), one of the tabs in that menu sais view, and then uncheck the box with "hide file extentions for known file types". Hope that works.
