Odd body/skin glitch. Females look like burn victims

You have an NPC mod that doesn't come with the required FaceGen data. Then this NPC mod changes the way the faces look, and due to missing textures/meshes your face turns grey. Check the mod pages of the NPC mods you have and see if there's some optional file with FaceGen data. You will need it.

Changing the clothes doesn't fix the issue however. It just covers it up.

Might I suggest going through and trying to remember when it started. You could have installed a mod during that time. Make sure you save when the body looks normal. Then start disabling a few mods during the time period that it started.

This just started happening on a brand new save after not having played in a few months. Only thing I added was Dragonborn.

Anyway, I ended up just doing a fresh install, and so far the issue has not started again. I have most of my old mods reinstalled and updated, including body replacers. Fingers crossed that everything continues to work.

Skyrim Mod: burnt skin glitch:

I think I found the source of the burnt skin glitch where some followers get vampire sun-burnt skin repeatedly. Once I removed the mods that were giving me errors in TES5Edit background loading I was able to remove CTD and Memory patch ENBoost mod and when I did it, not only do things look better but I don't have that nasty skin glitch  so far.. I will update this if I find I'm wrong but so far so good.

I will say that this mod did help me manage through the time when I was having terrible lag but with errors gone so is the lag.

One of the problems with trying to run down this kind of glitch is that things which have nothing to do with skin textures can cause the problems. I once spent three days running down a texture glitch with CBBE. Turned out that the problem was a mod I was using which created a slightly different CBBE base body for each race. When CBBE updated, the mod didn't work with the new version. I was getting the old underwear texture overlaid on the new Mature Skin texture I was using. The whole issue drove me crazy, but I'm stubborn and finally fixed it.

Go back to that Dark Brotherhood mod you mentioned. Disable that one and see if the problem clears. If it doesn't, then the problem may be in the vanilla clothing meshes. Or, the problem could be in the No More Bronze Shine or the Sporty, Sexy Sweat. I doubt that it's in the base UNP mod and those textures, or many other people would have reported it. Good luck running this down!

I had this same issue, it turned out to be a slot 52 issue for me. If you have any additional body replaces, NPC overhauls, or anything else, that equips alternate skin textures to slot 52, they will fight with some items.

In cases like in the LSAR pack, some armor uses 52, and when it is equipped will actually unequip your skin.

I am sorry but this made me laugh til I cried

try this

open demon hunter mod in creation kit

go to + Items & expand by clicking the plus

select ArmorAddon

find Demon Hunter Armor UNP -> Select It

on left half down see

Female, then

Biped Model, then & this very important

Skin Texture Swap List

use the drop menu, scroll to top, select NONE

Close & Save
