BG1
Hi, I'm modding Skyrim for the first time (Legendary edition purchased through Steam) and I've run into a few weird bugs, wondering what the issue is. Here are the mods I'm currently using: Immersive ArmorImmersive WeaponsCloaks of Skyrim + Dawnguard CloaksSkyUIHiRes World MapScript extender (which as far as my understanding goes, I need to run for the SkyUI to function.) I've installed all of these manually, no mod manager. Enabled the mods in the Data files and am running the game through the Script Extender Executable (skse_loader.exe). The game looks great, UI works fine, haven't run into any graphical issues yet however the scripted scenes seem to be a bit buggy so far (I've only been playing for an hour). For Example: At Helgen when the thief says something and is supposed to make a run for it and get shot by an arrow. On the first try he just kind of froze up and stared at me instead of making a run of it, I had to reload and redo the intro and it worked the next time. Then when we're running through the keep with the Dragon chasing at one point the imperial soldier I'm running with is supposed to fight the dragon or tell me to get in the keep or something (I forget, haven't played in a while) but he just freezes up and stands there as the Dragon flies around and attacks him. Third one I've noticed was in the caves when the guy tells me to be careful of the bear and sneak around, there was no actual bear where it's usually supposed to be. So I'm wondering what's causing these issues, I can still play the game fine but this is kind of annoying and ruins some of the immersion so to speak. Here's what I have in my Data Files btw: http://imgur.com/LIM8huF Thanks! Edited July 21, 2013 by BG1
BG1
Looks like I've found the issue. It seems like the game does not handle 120hz monitors with 120fps properly. Have to cap it at 60fps or you get a lot of physics bugs. Which is very unfortunate and kind of sad considering the game was released in 2011. Another ridiculous limitation we have to endure due to poor Console ports :( .
ripple
Other than SKSE, which should be installed manually, I recommend you use a mod manager (either NMM, the Mod Organizer, or Wrye Bash/BAINS) to exclusively handle your mod un/installation so mods can be cleanly removed if necessary.
