raptor1261992
Well Covert War is off the ground. The most up to date so the current model WIP Lancer Assault Power Armor(see [WIP]Lancer Power Armor thread for more information on the armor)http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/tyokio/Lancer.jpg Thanks to tyokio who will also be doing the T-52a (*sincerely hopes*) also the R101 MODSFR (model will be the HK417 model from BulletSix, haven't heard back from him yet) suppressed:http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/430/41716hsuppme0.th.jpg scoped:http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/5930/41716hscopesb0.th.jpg (uses mesh of the sinper rifle scope, slighty edited. The "Scope" part has also a folded down front sight) base:Covert War, A mod for Fallout 3 Two years before the great nuclear war, the United States Military created a special forces team known only as SPECTRE. SPECTRE was an elite group of soldiers, handpicked from the best the US Army and Marines had to offer. This team was created with one mission: Eliminate China’s nuclear capability in the event of imminent nuclear attack. The team was trained, and put into cryogenic stasis to await their inevitable mission. They would not be awoken, not for another 200 years at least, in two years, the great nuclear war occurred, and the underground facility they were stored in was cut off from the surface. For 200 years the facility has remained dormant, till it was discovered by a Wastelander named Jack Mitchell. Mitchell is a resident of Megaton….perhaps you can find out the location of the facility from him. Quest: The Player hears about a resident of megaton who has found a pre-war facility from Colin Moriarty (or Gob, haven’t decided). They tell him about Jack Mitchell, the resident who discovered the SPECTRE compound. Just as they reach Jack’s house, they see a small detachment of Enclave troopers wearing a new type of power armor walk out of the house. Inside the house the player speaks with Jack who tells him about this facility. The player makes it to the SPECTRE facility before the Enclave troops. Inside the player makes his/her way down to the second floor of the facility. On the second floor, the player discovers a room with four cryo stasis chambers. The player sees they are occupied and revives the occupants. Upon revival, the player is questioned by the commander of the squad. The commander asks if china is about to nuke the US (their mission was to disable chinas nuclear capability in case of an imment attack). The player explains that china has already attacked and shows the commander images of the capital wasteland and tells the commander it has been 200 years since the great war. The commander then thanks the player and confers with his squad mates. Here the player has two choices, help the squad or leave them (or even kill them). If the player chooses to help the squad, the player tells them about the brotherhood of steel and the enclave. The squad chooses to seek out the brotherhood (since the brotherhood is the remnant of the US Military). At that moment, they hear a noise and a squad of four Enclave troopers enters the room and tells SPECTRE and the player to lay down their weapons, the group refuses and kills the enclave troopers. Assuming that the facility has been compromised, the commander of spectre asks the player to help them clear the facility. To that end, he tells the player that he has permission to take equipment from the armory down the hall (ONLY THAT ARMORY). Inside the armory, the player will find numerous weapons and ammo, in particular is a full set of T-52a Recon Armor and a full complement of SPECTRE weapons (M810 combat knives, M790-ASTs, -GLs and –SPs and M800-HE and –FA pistols along with a lot of ammo for each). A fierce close quarters battle to clear the facility (there are 20 Enclave troopers. On the first floor, the player and squad manage to capture an enemy soldier. Upon interrogating the prisoner, they discover that they are from an Elite Enclave unit, the Lancers, sent to locate and secure this particular facility, he also tells them of the location of their compound. This leads the commander of spectre to ask the player to help in an assault on the Lancer compound. The commander tells the player to report back to him when ready to begin the assault. Upon telling the commander that the player is ready, the player and squad are teleported to a location outside of the Lancer compound (which can be visited later on and looted). The commander explains the plan and the battle begins. There will be about 20 to 30 Lancer’s in the compound. Once half of them are eliminated a small group of Brotherhood of Steel troops arrives to assist the player and SPECTRE. Upon the securing of the compound, SPECTRE joins up with the brotherhood of steel and decides to make their base of operations the old spectre facility (which has now been fortified and is populated by brotherhood troops in addition to Spectre). The commander makes the player a member of SPECTRE and gives the player a keycard that will allow them access to a previously off-limits section of the facility. Within the player will find another SPECTRE weapon in addition to a large store of Ammunition for the guns and ARRX chemical. Additionally, the player will now be able to recruit one of the members of spectre as a follower (only one at a time, and they cannot die). Also, there will still be a few Lancer compounds (which the squad will allow you to go after) around the wasteland. New Equipment: Armor: T-52a Recon Power ArmorEffects: Auto Injectors (health regeneration and heightened awareness), Stealth Field Generator, Agility +5, Sneak +10, Reflex and Mobility Enhancers, Ablative PlatingDescription: The T-52a Recon Armor was developed in 2076 just after the creation of the T-51b power armor. The T-52a model was designed specifically for the Special Forces squad SPECTRE. It was developed using elements from a captured Chinese stealth armor suit. However, the T-52a had a stealth field generator grafted into its design, allowing its wearer to cloak and hide from enemies. The T-52a also features a set of auto injectors which inject the wearer with the drug AR-X (Awarness Regenerative Experimental), which speeds up the body’s natural healing process and grants the user heightened awarness. Unfortunately there is a side effect; prolonged use of the armor may lead to the wearer developing an addiction to AR-X. Additionally, the armor features a series of neural implants that increase the mobility and reflexes of the wearer. The T-52a helmet also features an advanced visor system with night vision and improved trajectory calculation software (it increases weapon range and accuracy). The T-52a also features ablative armor plating. T-52a Recon armor also comes outfitted with several built in weapon systems, including a dart launcher and a flamethrower. Has an appearance similar to that of Enclave power armor.Helmet:Effects: Advanced Visor (Night Vision, increased weapons range and accuracy), Critical Strike Chance +5 Enclave T-67x “Lancer” Assault Armor Effects: Auto Injectors (healing only), Advanced Powerplant, Enhanced Strength Description: An experimental Enclave Power Armor, far superior to the T-51b power armor, the T-67x is currently used only by the Lancers, an elite squad of enclave shock troops. Features an Advanced Powerplant allowing it to support more powerful weapons, more notably, the experimental XE-78 Plasma Cannon. The Lancer Assault armor also features a shoulder mounted Minigun. Nicknamed “Lancer” Assault Armor as it is used exclusively by the Lancers. T-51c Power ArmorEffects: Description: The T-51c Power Armor is a third generation T-51b. Development on this version began just months before the Great War started. The T-51c power armor was being developed at the SPECTRE facility and a fully working prototype was created. It may still be within the bowels of the Facility. The T-51c power armor was rumoured to be much more heavily armoured and armed than its predecessor, the T-51b. Weapons: R101 Modular Special Forces Rifle (R101) Ammunition: 7.62 mm Tungsten Core HVAP (High Velocity Armor Piercing) rounds Scope: Yes (4x)Silencer: Yes Clip Size: 20 Description: The R101 MODSFR is the basic weapon used by SPECTRE. It is modular, allowing it to be reconfigured within a matter of minutes. The R101 is far more advanced than its predecessor, the R91 Assault Rifle (Standard US Army Infantry weapon). The standard R101 features a scope and a silencer. Fires 7.62 mm TCHVAP rounds (Tungsten Core High Velocity Armor Piercing). R101 Modular Special Forces Rifle Grenade Launcher Attachment (R101-GL) Ammunition: Incendiary Grenades Scope: No Clip Size: 4 Description: The R101-GL is the Grenade Launcher attachment for the R101 MODSFR. Fires Incendiary Grenades. R101 Modular Special Forces Rifle Sniper Attachment (R101-SP) Ammunition: .50 calibre AP round Scope: Yes (12x)Clip Size: 5 Description: The R101-SP is the Sniper attachment for the R101 Rifle. The SP attachment adds a larger scope to the R101 standard rifle and re-chambers it to use .50 cal Armor Piercing Rounds. N105 Modular Special Forces Pistol (N90) Ammunition: 9 mm HE round Scope: No Clip Size: 8 Description: A silenced pistol designed specifically for SPECTRE, the N105 is another addition to the already formidable arsenal of SPECTRE. Like its bigger cousin, the R101 MODSFR, the N105 MODSFP is modular allowing it to use multiple weapons’ configurations. The standard N105 uses 9mm HE rounds. N105 Modular Special Forces Pistol Automatic Attachment (N105-FA) Ammunition: 9 mm AP roundScope: No Clip Size: 24 Description: The N105-FA attachment to the N105 pistol adds a larger magazine and a full automatic function to the N105. This also uses 9mm AP rounds instead of 9mm HE rounds. The N105-FA is basically a Sub-Machine gun, although with a lower magazine capacity. Also removes the silencer. R200 88mm P.A.W (Portable Artillery Weapon) Ammunition: 88 mm Artillery Shells Scope: No Clip Size: 3 Description: The R200 PAW was developed for SPECTRE to provide an Anti-Armor weapon that could be carried. The R200 uses 88mm shells to eliminate even the thickest of armor. This is the biggest gun in SPECTRE’s arsenal. Slows down the user when used, due to its size. XE-78 Plasma Cannon Ammunition: Prototype Plasma Fusion Cartridge Scope: No Clip Size: 3 Description: The XE-78 is an experimental plasma cannon currently used only by the Lancers. The simple reasoning for this is that standard Enclave power armor does not have a large enough power supply. The XE-78 fires a large orb of superheated plasma at its target. Unlike the standard Enclave plasma rifle, the XE-78 has enough fire power to take down enemy armor (Tanks or heavy mechs) in a single shot. XE-79 Plasma Sniper Rifle Ammunition: Prototype Macro Fusion Cells Scope: Yes (12x) Clip Size: 10 Description: A relatively new development. The XE-79 PSR is a sniper rifle deployed to the Enclave’s Elite Lancer Shock Troopers. Unlike the Enclave Plasma Rifle, the XE-79 PSR uses a prototype Macro fusion cell which has four times the power output of micro fusion cells. New Enemies: Enclave LancersCome in squads of four, one with an XE-78 Plasma cannon, two with plasma rifles and one with an XE-79 Plasma Sniper Rifle. The Squad: Captain Jim BlakeSpecialty: Midrange Combat, prefers standard R101 rifle to any of its attachments (at close range will use an N105 pistol, this is the same for all members of SPECTRE). Sergeant Richard WinchesterSpecialty: Long Range combat, prefers R101-SP Corporal Jack PearceSpecialty: Explosives, Uses N105-FA pistol and R101-GL (when more than four enemies) Corporal Kate RichardsSpecialty: Heavy Weapons, prefers the R200 PAW Comments, suggestions?
