Please remember that our programmers need rest also. They do not work around the clock and they have been putting in a LOT of overtime lately trying to get this clustering system to actually work right. Unlike the big pay sites, we have a very small programming staff - and the big guys have lots more money and lots more programmers to throw at problems than we do. LOTS!! more. But, by choice, we have far fewer ads than they do also. So, please be patient and give them the time they need to get it right.

What you are seeing here is growing pains. The Nexus was never expected to get anywhere near this big. We now have very nearly 6 million members, and over 50 thousand mods covering 20 games - we just outgrew the system we had kept running with patches and ductape for so long.

For those who seem to think we just need a better server - we already run about 20 servers in a dozen locations and several countries. This new system is to tie them all together in a better way for better load sharing and improved bandwidth allocation.

Rest? How dare they - we need our mods right now! Use the whip! :armscrossed:

Given the quality of these Sites (in terms of content available and actual site design) and the massive popularity of these mods, I think we can all forgive a bit of server mayhem once in a while. And I say that as one of us who pays for access to said servers.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I've already noticed a huge improvement! Makes me feel better about spending my money on donations for the site.

Since when a new clustering system is more important than downloading mods?

If they don't do this, you won't be able to download anything. That sound good to you?

In response to post #8514098. #8514150 is also a reply to the same post.

Since people started to complain about slowdowns and stability issues, which prompted the site owner and the programmers to address the issue. Edited by ZeroKing
