Steinwand
I've been using FOMM for awhile, simply because I came across it first. Lately, however, I've been wondering if I should switch to NMM on the possibility that it might somehow be better. So my question is, is there any reason to switch from FOMM to NMM? jazzisparis
FOMM is now considered old-school, but is also more "professional", lightweight and comes with some very handy tools (though mostly for mod makers). If you're already used to FOMM, then stay with FOMM. CamouflageUK
Always confused me this, no matter how much I read.I have a couple of big, popular mods, 'Project Nevada' being one of them, that will not activate through Nexus Mod Manager, even though I have seen video of them being activated in NMM. 'Mod Configuration Menu' is another. So I use both NMM and FOMM, seems to work. But if this way does cause problems that I can't see and there are certain 'must have' mods that can't go through NMM, what's the point of NMM? (and I don't mean or intend any disrespect to the creators of NMM) Everyone may as well just use FOMM.I know NMM has the convenience of being directly connected to the Nexus, but that convenience has turned into a pain in the 'arris right now with all the connection problems users are having. And I'm still confused.....
Immodium
i use NMM, works fine. (Mostly) i would advise knowing how to do a manual download just to be safe.
