topeira
hi guys. this is a weird question but here goes - i am a level 30 melee character. my one handed skill is at roughly 60 or 70 and i have 3 perks in the lowest of the one handed tree to do 60% damage. my steel sword is considered "superior" or "epic" and is doing roughly 25 damage. also i play on "adept". is this normal?! i had a mod that i played with from lvl 1 up to lvl 30 that increased all damage of all weapons by a lot and that same steel sword did roughly 60 damage with the mod. but now i had to reinstall skyrim and deactivate the mod and my steel sword does about 25. i cant remember how much damage it's supposed to do and if my game has gone weird on me or is it just my memory that is failing me and this is normal. i think an older character i plyed on lvl 30 with an EPIC steel sword did around 40 at least with no enchantments.... but maybe my memory is misleading me. however if i am correct and my weapons all do rediculously low damage compared to what they are supposed to than i need to somehow fix this. also - is there a way to check how much damage other enemies are doing to me?! can i somehow encounter a bandit plunderer, for example, and somehow see how much HE does with the weapon he has? this way i can maybe compare myself to him :-P
Annon
displayed damage = (base damage + smithing increase) * (1 + 0.5 * skill/100) * (1 + perk effects) * (1 + item effects)Perk Effects = .2 * Barbarian/Armsman/Overdraw rank level put in your numbers and see what you get so in your case:displayed damage = (base damage + smithing increase) * (1 + 0.5 * skill/100) * (1 + perk effects) * (1 + item effects) = (8+3(superior*))(1+0.5*60/100)(1+0.6)(1+0) = 22.88seems about right but the actual damage that you/enemies recive is defined as:Damage =((Right Hand displayed Damage * (1 + Power Attack Bonus) * (1 + Dual Power Attack Bonus) * (1 + Power Attack Perk) * (1 + Dual Power Attack perk)) * Dual Power Attack Mod) + ((Left Hand displayed Damage * (1 + Power Attack Bonus) * (1 + Dual Power Attack Bonus) * (1 + Power Attack Perk) * (1 + Dual Power Attack perk)) * Dual Power Attack Mod)Power Attack Bonus = 1 if power attackingDual Power Attack Bonus = 0.125 if power attacking with dual weaponsPower Attack Perk = 0.25 if power attacking and you have Savage Strike or Devastating BlowDual Power Attack Perk = 0.5 if power attacking with two weapons and you have Dual SavageryDual Power Attack Mod is 2/3 for the right and 1/3 for the left hand Edited July 23, 2013 by Annon
