DHU420
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a mod and I haven't found anything like it, so I decided to write the idea here, in case someone who knows how to mod is interested in the idea and can do it. Well I say that I'm a immersion aficionado, so it turns out to be a little big, sorry about that. I found "Amazing Follower Tweaks" but it's not exactly what I wanted, and have problems with the game's followers. The mod is, practically, to reshape the follower's AI as spouse. What I mean by this? It is to do, when she/he marries you, to assume a little more the role of spouse when he/she is not on an adventure with you. To make it clearer, I'll mention a few points: • She could, indoors, "make" the food in the cauldron, running the animation in the cauldron, or she could go chop wood.(1) • She could, while still indoors, sleep in the master bedroom (After all, she's your wife, why does she sleep in the basement??). • She could, in town, be closer to people, to make it look like she's not a lonely person who just eats bread and drinks beer sitting alone in some corner (Even if she doesn't have any lines).(4) • She could, while still in town, put a basket in her hand and go to the front of the market (as Arcadia does in whiterun) and return home with the basket (as if she had been shopping)(2) or Go talk to Jarl to "pay bills, or whatever..." (just the fantasy world, just go to the jarl) or go somewhere to train your moves (if she's a mage, could go to some enchantment table - if there is of course).(3) • She could, when you send her home, go home and change her clothes, taking off all her armor (including shield and weapon) and putting on a common citizen outfit. • She could, greet you, just like the npcs, without you having to interact with her (I don't remember well, but I think it already happens). (1) Here there may be some variations depending on where she/he is living and whether is male or female (or not). How, if you live in a place that has a smithing (like in Tundra's house), go to work there; or harvest honey in the apiary, or harvest the crop. etc.. (or just the basics that fit in all houses so the mod doesn't turn a game :D)(2) If I'm not mistaken, this is ai overhaul change.(3) I don't make potions myself, I buy ready-made potions and sell the materials, and I adopt 2 street children to have a bed to sleep.(4) I could be wrong, but most of the time I see her alone. Well that's what I remember so far: makes them more "human" and "spouse" if she not on an adventure. My in-game experience is: I married lydia and I noticed her actions, with and without ai overhaul mod (I don't think it changes follower). It's a boring and meaningless thing. As much as we are your "Thane", we are also your "Spouse". Be Thane in the adventure time "I will defend your life with mine" and be a spouse out of the adventures "Hello my love".I would love to see her doing these things from this list up there, or at least some of them. If you've read this far, thank you!If you are interested, great, tell me if i'm pushing the limits of the game, or just it's just too big a mod with much work to be done? Cheers,DuH Edited August 28, 2021 by DHU420
7531Leonidas
Nether's Follower Framework will do a lot of this, if you set the home base for your follower. You can specify work, relax, and rest locations for each home base, and the locations can be in the communities they live in. Nether has a site on Patreon. DHU420
Nether's Follower Framework has some of the functions I mentioned but used in different ways and need to be configured. Sandboxing: it gives the character more life, that's good, because she doesn't just stopped around and really interact with the environment. There are two sides to this mode: • When she's following you, she interacts with her surroundings, that's great, so she doesn't stand still and she looks alive. • The other is bad that you need to set up a place to be her "home" if she isn't following you. This also makes her get stuck in the places, following the scheduled times. There are some disadvantages and advantages to being able to configure locations, but it cancels the "Storefront" mod function (which provides a place to work for your spouse) if we don't mark a "Work" location in the settings. Also when we define HOME, she doesn't sleep in the double bed, she just makes it her "dwelling" place there. It's not exactly a mod to make being a wife, just the follower to be more alive. Clothing: This's good, it took me a while to get it set up correctly, but in the end it worked, but she changes her clothes when she leaves the house or enters, and stays naked for a few seconds. And this can cause lag if you don't configure any clothes and she are totally naked. • It has a good side; You can set up different outfits for different occasions. How to put on a merchant's outfit if she goes to work. • It has a downside; She keeps changing her clothes all the time, and when we ask her to follow, she doesn't put on armor until she's far enough from the cities.. Definitely a great mod and thanks for pointing me to it, now my wife feels more life, with some settings done. However, it is still not a mod that changes certain points for a "spouse" (despite giving more life to she), but for the followers in general. 7531Leonidas
NFF has a way to configure the priority settings for its behaviors. This, along with many other settings, are pretty obscure to me, since I haven't used them. Maybe you should try to ask Nether on the Patreon site, and/or Arthmoor on the AFK Mods site (https://www.afkmods.com). That site is where you should find Storefront. Hopefully you can find help there.
DHU420
Yeah I played around with a lot of settings including Locations/Homes and Followers. Unfortunately Storefront doesn't have any MCM configuration, at least nothing came up all the time. But it's okay to use them together if I set the workspace in NFF.
