MrPo0ter
Hey guys so with the recent steam sale i thought it would be worth my while to buy Skyrim on PC to try out all the awesome mods. I downloaded a bunch of mods and started at level one, although I already have a high leveled character on Xbox.I recently learned that you are able to transfer your Xbox save to PC, which I thought would be awesome. I followed all instructions and when i try to load my Xbox save on PC it gives me an error message reading "This save cannot be loaded because it is outdated. The version is 0 and the current version is 9."So I've been all over Google for the past 2 hours and can't figure it out. I've come to a few conclusions and hope you can help me out. 1. I installed mods prior to adding my Xbox save. Will uninstalling them and then repeating the process solve this?2. I have Dawnguard and Dragonborn on Xbox but not PC. I read on one thread that this is not an issue, but I only saw that brought up once so i'm not sure. 3. My steam version of Skyrim is running 1.9.32.0.8 while Xbox is running 1.9.31.0.8. This seems like it would be the problem and I would just have to wait, but I know a friend who did this exact same transfer successfully yesterday without a problem and apparently the steam update (1.9.32.0.8) has been out since March (although I could be mistaken).Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! NOTE: This is not intended for "console modding". I am simply just trying to transfer a save file to PC which seems to be allowed as long as both copies of the game are legit. prod80
Well first of all... I don't think your Xbox save will work properly on your PC anyway since you wanna run with mods... some larger and more immersive mods require to be active from game start or they wont work properly anyway (most notably changes to Perk systems, NPCs, Quests). Other than that my input is quite low as I don't have an Xbox (or any console for that matter)... :) hope youll get it fixed and enjoy a modded game. Not sure which Skyrim you have... but if you have the full deal (dragonborn + dawnguard (I don't care for heartfire)) you should look into this mod, for a great deal of cool changes: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286/ ... only works on a new game tho ... and it's a pretty advanced mod, so you need to dive into how it should be setup for a bit to get it to work properly... but it's great ;)
