Kuerva
So i recently saw a documentary about a real viking sword called the Uthbert wich was considered the best sword of its time, made roughly around 800-1000 AD, there are various different grips and pommels and guards that were found on different uthbert swords but all of them carried an inlay with the name uthbert, and to help those of you who are interested in making a mod based on a real viking weapon i'll post a youtube link for the documentary that i saw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXbLyVpWsVM as well as some pictures found on google as examples these should give you some idea on what to model if nothing else, but the video would give you a lot more info on the sword and even a new modern made uthbert using techniques available in the time period of the originals so i encourage you to check it out if you really want to know as much as you can. to make this weapon even more believable in game i would like to suggest it be a skyforge weapon and craftable only
ChristofDracul
I was also looking for this and came across two mods that were close. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17349/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D17349%26preview%3D&pUp=1 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1002/? Kuerva
i must admit those are both fine mods but the reason i wanted this mod made was because it is a specific sword one that was made in a very specific manner and had the Uthbert inlay on the blade now the models are there and if the proper permissions were asked for perhaps someone could make a standalone model with an hd 4k texture hook it to the skyforge inventory and done, i'd settle for that
