dragonpen61
I would like to see items added that fit American 1950s influence and which make sense according to Fallout gaming history. MREs, meals ready to eat, American military rations of ill fame but would make sense considering past militarization of America, all the wars etc. Should have plenty of MREs and other military rations like canned 'C rations' but may also some unique items like self heating cans of coffee, hard biscuits that might bust your teeth but will feed you, instant coffee powder etc. Also astronaut food-tubes and other space rations like space chocolate found in special locations. Coffee to keep civilization sane or at least boosted.Tea to keep civilization refined.Dried fruit to seem healthy.Chocolate bars for chocoholics.Peanut butter because its very American but more so because I love it.Nukamite, a version of Vegemite because I am Australian and like it.TV-dinners (1950 version of microwave dinners).Donuts as inspired by the Simpsons.More versions of canned food Some, like coffee, would have special effects. A skill book called the ultimate self help book that gives +1 on all skills but must be used in very limited numbers and be hard to get as not to unbalance game. Also expensive? Spraygun of anti-insect spray that damages or even kills, if used enough, radroaches and bloatflies. Perhaps based on model for paintgun. Soccer ball. A rarer item!Hockey bat. Construction workers' hardhat (safety helmet). Don't know why this wasn't already put in with slight armour bonuses. (Have used one myself way back when?) Working fire extinguishers. For example, CO2 versions might have surprisingly harmful effects on feral ghouls. To be placed in inventories, traded, etc. Fire-axe! A nice weapon used in more than one hack and slash movie by mad killer. Found in fire emergency places or just around. Traded etc and of course used. Working typewriter like machines (never know when you might want to type that letter to the city council to complain about all those feral ghouls and raiders keeping you up at night.) Farmers shotguns, double barreled or single barreled.(Was told by an old Australian farmer I knew that single barreled shotguns were common because they were cheaper, the second barrel wasn't needed and they were lighter to carry around all day.)Lever-action and pump-action (as also suggested by other modders)Basic and should logically be more common in some areas than cut off versions. More powerful but less common 10g shotguns including lever-action and pump-action. .22LR weapons (I suggested it before as have others) and ammobasic bolt action rifleless common semiautomatic or automatic rifles?target-pistol (such as used in Olympics)special assassin pistol (a favoured assassin's weapon in our world)AR-7 USAF survival rifle (really exists) with folding butt for survival kits but can of course be found in other places. Home made guns such as found with poor 1950s style American criminals or with rebel natives in some parts of the world. These guns are cheap but unreliable and even, to some extent, dangerous to use. Would be the sort of guns to be logically found in a Fallout 3 world with its lack of resources.Using normal range of calibres and being classed as pistols, rifles or, in less common cases, submachineguns. Rarely semi/automatic but mostly basic firing principles or bolt-action.Exception might be like the British stengun or American grease-gun of World War II that were surprisingly easy to make and be made to use either 9mm or .45 calibres. In this world there was a case of fighters making stenguns partly by using steel chair legs. Spearguns as used by SCUBA and snorkel divers.Could be very lethal in some cases but of course very slow to reload.Might one day be used in underwater combat if the right mods are made? Just some ideas. Please acknowledge but otherwise free to use.Like some feedback.
