BOS t45d

I always hated the T51B armor in the fallout universe and hated the fact that the brotherhood of steel wore it in new vegas but shouldn't they be wearing T45D because that's what they wear in fallout 3 and in fallout 1 they wear T51B so can someone please make a mod that makes the brotherhoods armor T45d please

There is an explanation for that,the Brotherhood of Steel of Fallout 3 have to rely on the older models because they have no acess to the T51b's ,due to the fact they are isolated from the Brotherhood Central Command so they aren't receiving any supplies and they have been there for a long time(I don't remember if they had some T51s but they stopped working after they run out of spare parts) ,now on New Vegas they have acess to the T51s because they are a newer group and have been been to their mission later in time so they received the later models.They also had less pressure on their gear because they weren't on a constant war with Supermutants.

 

So in short in Fallout 3 they had to work with what they had and in New Vegas when they left the Brotherhood they received the T51b's

I am not sure why you hate the T-51b in particular.

But, as Kellar21 pointed out, in-game lore for FO3 and FNV does explain why the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood has to rely on the older T-45d whereas the Mojave Brotherhood don't have to. Remember that not only did the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood do a trek across the entire United States, they also more than likely encountered resistance along the way. What they did at the Pitt is an example of that kind of resistance they may have faced. Then once they got to the Capital Wasteland, they become embroiled in constant warfare with the Super Mutants as well as the other Capital Wasteland inhabitants. Warfare that lasted all the way from 2255 to 2277, the start of F03. Then all forms of support was cut off from the main Brotherhood. The Capital Wasteland Brotherhood couldn't find the necessary replacement parts to keep their T-51b in working condition. They did however discover a massive stockpile of T-45d in the ruins of the Pentagon. So all of that combined meant that the Capital Wasteland BoS had to rely on the T-45d.

However, for the Mojave Brotherhood, some (not all but some) of them were suppose to get T-45d. From The Vault wiki:

 

Almost no members of the Brotherhood of Steel wear Brotherhood T-45d power armor, although they may be seen wearing the corresponding helmet with Brotherhood T-51b power armor. This is actually an unintended bug by the developers, as the Brotherhood of Steel members wearing "mixed" armor are supposed to wear a full of suit of Brotherhood T-45d power armor. This also includes the dead Paladins that are part of the three scouting teams in the quest Still in the Dark

So yeah, some of those guys should be wearing the T-45d armor.

Attached to this post is a mod I made that alters the level lists of the Brotherhood of Steel so that they only spawn with T-45d power armor.

 

Only problem is that if a member of the Brotherhood of Steel have already spawned before you install this mod he or she will already have gotten an armor and you will have to "re-roll" his or her inventory. To do that when you meet a BOS member with T-51b power armor open the console, click on the person, type resurrect and press enter. The person will then reload with a set of T-45d power armor instead. Note that this is only a problem for characters that have already spawned before you install the mod. Any BOS member that spawns after you install the mod will only have T-45d.
