ENB Preset made game unplayable

Recently I downloaded the preset below

I followed the installation steps as described.

When I want to start the game I get the following message:

Fallout4.exe - Einstiegspunkt nicht gefunden

Der Prozedureinsprungspunkt "CreateDXGIFactory2" wurde in 
der DLL "C:\\Windows\System32\d3d11.dll" nicht gefunden. 

translate to english

Fallout4.exe - Entrypoint not found

The przessentrypoint "CreateDXGIFactory2" in 
DLL "C:\\Windows\System32\d3d11.dll" was not found.

I understand some requested .dll was not created or not found.

 

1. So at first I removed all files of the mod. That solves the problem but no ENB :sad:
   
2. Next I tried to install FO4SE again .
   
3. I verified the Data via Steam and found no problems
   
4. Another solution found here (Steam Forum) where you basically rename some .dlls will throw just more errors.

--> however none of these steps did solve the problem (same error message was thrown )

 

Some other user also got the same errors and reported that to the modauthor. sadly there were no solution avaliable

By a quick online research I learned it might be a result of having my system on C - whereas steam and my games are on a different drive.

Anyone knows a solution to that?

That mod isn't an ENB file, nor is it a Reshade file; it's a SweetFX file (a preset) - that the author themselves can't seem to make that distinction is telling, and doesn't inspire confidence. It's not surprising that yourself and others have had problems when the documentation this mod author left is lackluster at best.

 

To get it up and running you'll need to download and install SweetFX. Unfortunately the author doesn't appear to ever mention which version of SweetFX they used when creating their preset, let alone notifying users that they need to install it before installing this preset. This page should help with setting up the main SweetFX files, and then installing the SweetFX preset (the mod files)

 

Make sure you completely manually remove any files leftover from your earlier attempt at installing this preset before you install SweetFX and this preset.
