Jenlyn Fayre
As a new player to MW (on XBox), I'm finding that money is hard to come by. As any new player, I'm p-ss poor and have sh--ty armor. I need training and the cost for it is astronomical. What was the best/easiest/fastest way for you to earn money in Morrowind? What worked? What didn't work? Remember, I have MW for Xbox, so I cannot make modifications.

Coolhandgoose
Joining guilds is a great way to start increasing your stats as well as money. Just start adventuring and eventually the money is really easy to come by. I've got 70,000 gold after only playing for about 2 months, with lots of daedric stuff and other really expensive pieces of equipment. Start exploring, if an area is too hard, come back to it later. Jenlyn Fayre
Yup, I've joined a guild or two and I'm going on quests here and there. A friend told me about Creeper. He's awesome! I also swipe stuff and sell it. Coolhandgoose, I can't believe you got all that $$$! How did you manage to save it all without using it? You know, there's one thing missing from MW that I've had in other RPGs and really appreciated-- a BANK. Notice there are NO banks in MW? It's too bad because when I put $$ in a bank in other RPGs, I was able to store it safely AND get some INTEREST!! I'm really surprised the developers didn't think of this! (If any of you do plug-ins and mods, THAT would be a good thing to add to MW!) BTW, do any of you get attacked by thieves that steal your $$? That's why I don't like carrying large amounts of $$ on my person-- not that I have any large amounts!
FlightlessBird
There are already Banking mods for morrowind. Look them up if you have computer version...
DreamOfTheRood
You're not going to have anything stolen from you, ever. The NPCs are not designed for that. You can carry as much money on your person as you want, because it will not weigh you down.
t-leaves
My sweetie (who plays along side me on his PC) is Level One and went to Creeper. He used sneak to steal 3 pieces of armor from the upstairs storage room. Right under the guard's nose. He left the building and immediately returned and sold it to Creeper. I'm not sure he actually had to leave the building, but the 3 pieces cost more than Creeper's $5000 gold. So he bought some stuff too. What a nice haul, huH? I get nowhere with Sneak. My skill is considerably lower than his, but I haven't been able to get ANY points toward improvement. Anybody know how?

You have to go through some less than legal in-game means, or do obscenly dangerous tasks (Like scouring tombs/ruins), and even then, you'll still run out soon enough if youre paying for muy mucho training. NCBeachBum
In my opinion, the quickest easiest wy to make money with a new character is through soul trapping. Buy a few petty and lesser soul gems, and go trap some rats and cliff racers. There's actually a pretty nice profit margin in it.
