ArchDeimos
Bought The Witcher 2 during the steam summer sale now I want to download some mods using the Nexus Mod Manager. Can't seem to get it to work because every time I tried to run it all I get is a message stating, please make sure D:\bin\userContent Manager.exe exists, or something to that effect. It does exists, I checked, but it is under the steamapps folder. I didn't think being under steam would be a issue since I use NMM for skyrim and play skyrim on Steam. Can anyone offer some insight into this please? I am thoroughly confuse.
Ocatio
Right click on the game in your library, select properties. Then select the Local Files tab, followed by "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache..." Once it has completed that process NMM should recognize the game.
corwyn77
I have the same problem, only running the gog version. I've installed it a couple of times but I still get a "missing userContentManager.exe" message. In my case, I can't find the file manually at all. Dude I have had the same problems, I uninstalled it and started doing manual installs and am having much better results, even when it was downloading and "working," I couldn't get the game to start half the time, right now I'm attempting to make 3 conflicting mods that modifiy the base_scripts.dzip file to work together, this will be the ultimate test of whether I will ever use NMM again. So far, with Dark Souls 2 and Skyrim, I have had many many many mods installed WITHOUT NMM, and I'm having WAYYYY better results with working modded games, both my skyrim and Dark Souls 1 and 2 are modded to the teeth without NMM and are working way better than they ever did with NMM. It takes a bit of know how and learning curve but if you are mod savvy at all, it's worth the extra work man. Just my two cents. I will let you know if I got extra skill points, combat overhaul and dark weapons to work with my texture mods and selling quest items mod. So far all are working without NMM, you just have to unpack usually into the Cooked PC folder, and follow the instructions on the site. Good luck man.
