question from newbie about soultrapping

Could someone tell me the answer to these things?

1. where do I get (FIND?) soul gems, especially higher than the Petty variety?

2. I want to enchant a ring with a soultrap spell. I've seen the spell offered by NPCs, but it's decription says "by touch" and I want "on target". (Who wants to TOUCH a raging critter while your killing it???). Can it be used for a Target enchantment as well? If not, where can I find the Soultrap on Target spell?

3. I've only enchanted a ring (value=30) so far. I'd like to enchant a weapon with the soultrap spell so I can "touch" my dying critter with the sword I am killing it with. What kinds of swords will have enough enchant potential to make this possible?

4. I think it's weird that a 30gp ring is still only worth 30gp after enchanting it. Shouldn't it be more valuable?? Am I missing something, or is this just a quirk of the game?

Thanks for your kind help...

You can find them in crates, smugglers hide outs generally have some pretty powerful ones. And you can buy them from shops, or the mages guild in balmora.

When you select the enchantment you want it pops up with a new screen asking duration and area, There is a button at the top that says touch, just click it and it will change to target.

I think you only need 5 enchantment points for a soultrap spell. So pretty much every weapon can handle this, even a miner's pick. The only thing that won't take an enchantment is iron arrows, in terms of weaponry.

3. to cast it when you attack you'll want to enchant your weapon with "cast when strikes" and only for about 2-3 seconds. that way it costs less to use it.

4. i have been wondering that one myself :D
