SSE Don't be every guild leader

I like the factions in Skyrim but I often don't feel that I deserve to be the leader of all of them. It would be nice to be able to give a relevant NPC that role like what Immersive College of Winterhold has. I still want the option to lead each guild but I shouldn't have to.

I haven't seen anything for the companions or the Dark brotherhood. There are the various destroy the dark brotherhood and penitus oculatus mods that do offer a more flushed out alternative for that faction.

With the possible exception of the Companions. It always felt weird beyond belief that I was still going out adventuring after being the head of a guild. So I guess those two will do nicely for me. Hope more comes out for the OP

Heh, I just posted a mod request for this. I want to call it "Right of Refusal."

 

TG and College already have one. I would also like for the Companions to just let you be a part of the Circle, and when you get asked to be the Harbinger, you can just refuse and suggest someone else.

 

As for Listener, it doesn't make sense for you not to be, but the option to either:

1. Formally retire the position.

2. Commune with the Night Mother and go on a quest to find a new Listener (somebody who can hear her). Would be very cool.

3. Use some kind of magic ritual to give your ability to hear the Night Mother to someone else, as part of the commune.

 

And the Volkihar apparently also give you the mantle of leader, I don't remember that from my last playthrough (9 years ago). That's simple. Serana should be the leader.
