Weapon and Armor MODDERS LOOK HERE

Ah, okay, I see your point. Though I sort of support CGC's "policy" on incorporation of mods though. I mean, there are a lot of..."less-developed" (politically correct term for "meaningless" :P) out there, and I can understand if they don't care to incorporate those into their mods.

 

Anyhow, I do understand your idea about the quest thing. I wish you the best of luck with this, as it'll be an undertaking incorporating old stuff while keeping up with the number of quality mods released weekly or bi-weekly.

 

 

It sure will be hehe, I am hoping that once the initial is finished that i can keep it up to date either weekly or bi weekly.

 

As for the Less-Developed Mods... There are still people who like to use them and i am hoping to bring in a sense the option to use them as well in game. Now there will of course be a minimum requirement >.< no little stick guns or stuff, they will have to at least look some what like a weapon or piece of armor. The re placers i have been thinking shouldn't really be a problem incorporating i will just have to go in and edit the Nifs to look at a new path for the dds and then change the names so they wont Over write anything already in game. It is most unfortunate about the Body Re placer Armors though As i really like a lot of different armors only available for a certain body type...and as i am not good with 3d Models or Textures in that sense i cant edit them to fit a more generic body style or even fit multiple bodies (i.e. make a set of armor for each Body style), It may come down to if the proper permissions are given that i could maybe have a few different downloads say like a Malos Body Download which would include all the regular stuff and the Malos armor stuff, or the Naouk (sp) body, etc etc. But i think that may be way too much work then i alone am capable of, not to mention the magnitude that would entail. (side note I wouldn't Move his [Malos] merely set it where the guy would Mention a remote island out in the Atlantic sea that he heard some traders set up shop). Now once this gets off the ground (and hopefully it will, but i wont make a single step until i get the permissions) there may be people out there willing to do such a thing as take my pack and make it Malos inclusive or Naouk (sp) inclusive etc etc.

But I have a request. Could you please make this file as a Masterfile? So people can use it as modding ressource? Make one Master with all the weapons and armor inside and an seperated ESP for your Store. This really would be a hugh help for working with custom Armors in own mods. Oh, and please try to balance it.

 

This would be fantastic this way, there are many possibilities for MMM or my Random-Encounters to simply use your Master and add the Files to Leveled Lists.

well like i said the authors would have to give me the permission to even include thier Weapons and armors but i am sure it could be arranged that way

heya, seems like there is some talk about our mod (CGC). ;)

 

I wish you best of luck but don't underestiminate the amount of work and the problems that comes with integrating so many weapons into the game. At the start i wanted to do it like you, just provide the weapons and armors in one big pack but ppl will then ask for them to be balanced, added to vendors, to npc's etc.

 

Also a small correction regarding our mod. We don't just use the "best" weapons out there. There are ofc certain requirements just like you wouldnt want any thing made in your game but to state a number, in our current beta version (our mod is btw now called F.O.O.K - FallOut3 Overhaul Kit) are over 120 new weapons included (yes new like in new meshes, not just retextures or variations of weapons).

So pretty much every decent weapon is in there. A lot of things changed compared to CGC, too many to mention them now all in here, for more details you can also always visit us at http://www.whatthefook.com

 

 

It is just an offer but maybe you rather want to join us? Don't get me wrong, i always encourage new mods but at the same time i think that its a waste of energy if modders work on the same thing with seperate projects.

We can always need more helping hands and i rly consider our mod to be a community project where everyone is welcome.

Nice ideas ... I think I'd look at FOOK, heck I built a esp with over 100 of the weapons here and my own (keeping them updated and all is a royal pain), but if some one else is working on this I'd work with them. Especially if they are balancing the weapon trees for damage, cost and so on. If want to build your own go for it though tis the spice of life, variety that is.
