KyuubiNoYouko
Hi guys... I was wondering if anyone knew a way to bypass website redirects to other language versions...To be more specific, I am talking about the bethblog site:I am living in a german speaking country and whenever i try to reach bethblog.com, no matter what browser, with or without cookies, i get redirected to de.bethblog.com which is Bethesda Blog Germany.I do prefer reading english websites when the original is english (also playing Skyrim in english for the same reason)Does someone know how to reach the english site? (en.bethblog.com doesn't work btw.)
Vagrant0
I think it is related to the DNS lookup through your ISP. You may want to consider using OpenDNS or something similar:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDNS Keep in mind, depending on your country, there may be laws related to what sites you can visit, and visiting these sites through using a different DNS server or proxy may lead to legal issues. JimboUK
A proxy or VPN is usually the best way to get around these things, you could also try using Opera, it has a "Turbo" mode that sends everything through Operas servers, that might give the site a different location for you. KyuubiNoYouko
Thanks for the answers.About the legal issues: there are none for my country as far as I know. I used to be able to reach the english bethblog until earlier this year when they were still using a language selector, however it is now gone.I tried using OpenDNS with no success. JimboUK
https://www.vpnreactor.com/default.aspx This will give you a U.S address and should trick the blog into giving you the english version, the free version is limited to half hour on/half hour off though.
