Eyebrow scars or asymmetric brow textures for COTR and/or Vanilla

I wanted to give a custom follower an eyebrow scar so i did some digging, but it seemingly isn't possible apparently due to the default scar mesh. I'm using COTR and not vanilla meshes, so would that be any different? Ideally it'd be a scar and not a specific set of eyebrows so that it could be used with any eyebrows. Where do I even start?
