Displaying weapons in inventory on the player's person

So I put together a demo mod to show off this idea, called Display Weapons in Inventory Alpha, it was a simple mod that only added the brush gun. pic;

I havn't continued it because I took a break from modding and because it was very tedious to line up the coordinates. However I had a little breath through with blender Sunday and I think I'm ready to go into a beta status and start adding weapons.

I'll be making a apocalyptic cowboy pack (western themed firearms and weapons), but I wanted to ask what weapons would you as players like to see included in the new beta. If you could give me a listing of your favorites I'll try to crunch the entries and work first on teh most popular ones. Later I will put up a poll.

I should also mention that virtually any weapon can be shown on the players person, but backpack weapons may be a lower priority. In addition pleas list whether you wear clothing/light armor, medium armor or heavy armor. I need this info to decide on which versions have higher popularity.

Soooo, did I miss it? Or did nobody ever make requests? Because if you're still taking suggestions, I think it'd be cool to see long guns like the holorifle and the Medicine stick, just to start off with. Pistol- and revolver-type weapons you can always assume get stashed in a pocket or under a coat somewhere when they're not actively equipped, but you can't exactly say the same of rifles.

No requests so far except for the AM rifle, which as a heavy weapon doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

But yeah long rifles are good. Aleready have the coordinates for them from the brushgun I made. Would only take minor tweaking.

Not really. It's no problem to rig a dummy weapon as armor, that's trivial for a single item or two. What I did works with a much greater variety using the less common body slots. And of course setting up a much wider variety of weapons to work with a wide assortment of armors and clothing.

well then! let me make some more :) As far as long guns go, This Machine is another one of my favorites. especially with Millenia's textures on, but that's neither here nor there. Hmm... Hunting Rifle and Shotgun too, maybe?

All three of those have pretty much the same position as the brushgun I setup, so they won't be a problem.

Pistols and melee weapons please. Pistols first.

Yeah it would probably be a good idea to have a pistol at the left hip and start working on firearms for that position. Melee weapons that go on the back can use the same position as the brushgun with a little tweaking. Smaller melee weapons like knives, hatchets can use the left hip position so we can get a fair number of them working soon(ish).

OK I'll probably start Thurs or the weekend.
