stanstan174
I've always wanted this too. I don't think it would be impossible to do, but I've been noticing a similar problem. People ask for too much, when they should be taking baby steps. Yes, it would be cool to have multiple characters as followers, alternate opening scenes, or a tracking system that works in "fake" real time (I saw one suggestion that the game could have a "day one" scenario where character 1 goes to Bleak Falls Barrow and then at the end of day 1 it resets with a second character, now able to watch character 1 do all the things you just did, but as an npc). All these ideas are great, but I think that it would be best realized by taking things one step at a time. First we would need an Alternate start in the same game world. After that project is finished, the next can focus on making the old character an npc. After that we can make them a follower and so on. As far as numbers go: I would suggest 10 available characters (one for each race) which can start or use the standing stones (the ten spread out, not the three guardian) as placeholders as a tracking focal point. brenticus1
This is a pretty cool idea, but the problem is that it's really hard to make this possible. The best you can do is make a new NPC through Creation Kit whenever you want to start a new character, install the Alternate Actors mod and then use it to swap between characters.Closest thing you can do to simulate what you had in mind. But if someone can accomplish this, that would be amazing.Would love to have my Orc blacksmith become best friends with my Breton Archmage and go on adventures. stanstan174
For me, it's a role play/ game play issue. It just doesn't make sense to have one guy as the head of all guilds, thane of each hold, champion of each daedra, with over 15 places to call home; especially when there could be more. Similarly, I can't finish a faction line without getting near level 50. It's like the game was designed to have more than 1 hero in Skyrim.
