Jambo11
For some reason, the "floor" for furniture and other objects is set to halfway up the objects. As seen in the attached picture, the bookshelf is sunk through the floor halfway, but the Z position is zero. Though the obvious remedy would be to simply raise the object up, but I would prefer to correct the underlying problem.
Evangela
Intended behaviour. The furniture is supposed to look like that because of where its point of origin on the bounding box is located (the yellow thingy). You'll have to raise them up. By that, I mean that they sink-in halfway when you press F.They don't seem to in this video: Edited October 1, 2021 by Jambo11
Jambo11
Here's a screenshot to show my issue with the book markers. Is this intended? Is the one on the left actually resting on the floor, and it's just not displaying properly, or are the numbers wrong? I ask this because, despite following the instructions to the letter (in the video I posted in my previous post), I'm having trouble getting my mod to function properly. NexBeth
I found this to be an issue with the SSE Creation Kit, but not original Skyrim CK. Many items won't "floor" correctly and have to be manually adjusted.

As pointed out inthe above post, this doesn't happen in the original CK. The F key normally should plant things on the 0 on the Z axis of the object they are above, but for some reason it clips to the bounding box's point of origin which gives it that half way sinking thing. That makes sense. I wouldn't say I'm glad that it's not just me, but I do find it comforting that I'm not.

They don't seem to in this video: The video is a tutorial using the original CK, which works as intended. The SSE CK has this problem which is a big pain for modders who build. In fact, the modder who made that video mods for SSE, but he creates the mod in the original CK due to this and other annoying SSE CK issues.
