bben46 Posted August 14, 2013 Share Posted August 14, 2013 There is a LOT more involved in converting a game from 32 bit to 64 bit than just recompiling - and a lot of that has to do with how things are programmed into the game to begin with. Changing to 64 bit will require a complete rewrite - with the accompanying bugs, alpha and beta versions, quality checks and other stuff done while a new game is being written. So, a full time job by a team of Bethsoft programmers taking up to a year or more - for little to no return for Beth - They will instead use those programmers to make the next 32 bit game for the console market.
