Is there a ck way to position giant construction objects in a workshop?

Construction with a beam of length 4000. Light with custom addonNode, radius ~ 4000. Activator. A complex object with a bunch of meshes. When building in a workshop, the game for some reason considers the center not to the pivot point of the parent mesh, but to the literal center of the entire structure along with the ray. It is inconvenient to build, because the pivot point with the main meshes is very far from the player. Is there a way to position this in ck?Make it so that when building the center is the pivot point of the parent mesh, and not the damn ray?
