GlitchLitch12 Posted September 28, 2021 Share Posted September 28, 2021 Guys I need help modding my Skyrim SE (new to skyrim and modding in general). I downloaded USSEP, Icepenguinworldmapclassic, SSKE and SKYUI but every 30-60 minutes my game freezes and shuts down by itself. I checked the temperature everytime I play and its only at 80 c at most and genshin can make the laptop hotter but it doesnt freeze and shuts the laptop down like skyrim does. The only fix i found is deleting SSKE and SKYUI although Im not sure which one causes this problem.I don't know if its just my laptop is old or Im just new to modding Laptop specs: (although Im not sure what specs are important) AMD RADEON R7 M370 Intel HD Graphics 520 Intel Core i7-65000 CPU @ 2.50 GHz 12 gb of RAM Im pretty sure I installed sske right (first by transferring dll and exe into download directory and the pex files into Data/scripts although I created the scripts subfolder myself because there wasnt any while second having vortex download it for me. 7531Leonidas Posted September 28, 2021 Share Posted September 28, 2021 Check your scripts subfolder against your SKSE download (look into its archive) to make sure that you have all of the scripts that you need. Do you have USSEP (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266) and SSE Engine Fixes (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230) installed? They both can help lower spec machines handle Skyrim SE. There are a couple of others that will do similar, added bug fixes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

GlitchLitch12 Posted September 29, 2021 Author Share Posted September 29, 2021 One thing I found out tho is that using Skyui 5.1 makes my laptop freeze and shut down faster at most at 10 minutes. Its an old bug about using favorites/group and having a left handed one handed weapon in the group. Found out when I turned stealth archer lmao and the bug hasnt occured. So is there any solution other than turning stealth archer? I really want to use dual wielded war axe because they look badass. Then again I can just not use group at all for dual wielding weapons. Gorsha Posted October 1, 2021 Share Posted October 1, 2021 Well, SKSE don't crash your game. It only starts your game with the extra possibility to have more .dll files and other stuf. When your game is started SKSE don't run on your computer anymore.I also doubt SKYUI will crash your game. When it is installed right, and it is loaded, and runs well, it will give no problems.The most sense in problem, in my opinion, is your laptop. I think it is not very strong. Just like mine graphical card. I also need to give the full speed to my fans when I play Skyrim. If I don't, my game also crash after a while because my card will overheat.I suggest that you look to the temperature on your Laptop. (CPUID HWMonitor) plus I can run genshin without crashing with higher temp up to 89 c.
