We've seen California, and the birth of a new nation; we've visited Reno, and seen the shady underbelly of post-apocalyptic society; we explored the ruins of our once glorious capital city, and seen the double-dealing of those who would crown themselves king; we wandered the harsh desert of the Mojave, and stripped away the thin veneer of civilization... Amateurs. All of them. Nobody knows corruption, murder, and the siren song of greed like Chicago. Picture it in your mind now... Chicago, the gleaming metropolis, the city on the lake. A symbol of progress, and the indomitable American spirit. The city that connects the East and the West, the railroad hub that connects all of America. The people that know an honest days work, and built the Midwest with the sweat they shed working hard to build the future, the blood they shed fighting for the rights that we all enjoy, the tears they shed as they buried their sons and daughters who gave their lives to ensure that this country endured... Or is it the Windy City? The city of two-faced politicians whose endless lies filled the streets of Chicago with hot air. A symbol of rampant corruption and mafia politics so brutal, it was called "The Machine". A city that bleeds itself dry, as the violence and murder spill out from the back-alleys and backrooms into the streets. The people scrabble to make a living any way they can, robbing the corner store, selling narcotics on the street, or selling themselves to the highest bidder. The sweat they shed as they walk down the street, uncertain if the next dark alley hides a knife meant for them. The blood that leaks out of the wound, as they bleed out in the middle of the street. The tears they shed as they die, cold and alone, on some dark street... This is Chicago: A bastion of post-nuclear civilization, a thin facade that can barely hide the savage mob war raging between two rival mafias... a rivalry older than memory, older than the war, as old as the city itself. A corrupt police force that turns a blind eye to the violent families that pay them. A political machine more concerned with amassing power than with governing the city they've sworn to lead. The people... trapped between the frying pan and the fire: life in the big city is violent... but life outside the tall cement walls is impossible. Welcome to Chicago. Welcome to the Chicago way. TL;DR - I'm beginning work on a Fallout mod based in Chicago. I'm looking for people who can work with the editing tools to develop: custom scripts, custom textures, custom models, (possibly) custom music. This will be a (mostly) lore-friendly mod, about 1/4 the size of Fallout 3, using the Fallout: NV engine. If interested, please contact me on here.
